Special 6 days Migration - the Births from December to May

Day 1: ARUSHA - MANYARA

Morning departure to the Lake Manyara National Park. The Manyara Park is a long thin stretch of land between the lake and the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. It is Famous for its green scenery, varied bird life, especially the migratory flamingos.

Day 2 : NGORONGORO - SERENGETI

We head for the Ngorongoro Crater and spend a day of Game Drive inside the crater.

This is one of the culminating moments of your safari. The sight of the Ngorongoro Crater is simply stunning. The caldera with a diameter of 20 km, covering a mere 260 km2 surface in a 600 m deep crater is home to a permanent population of more than 30,000 animals, a natural paradise. The few rough roads allow viewing and observing almost all the wildlife in the crater.

At 3pm, after 6 hours spent inside the crater, you head for the Serengeti

Night at either the Center Serengeti Tingitana Tented Camp or at the South East Tingitana Tented Camp in Full Board

Days 3 and 4 : THE WILDEBEESTS' GREAT MIGRATION

You spend 2 whole days in the heart of the migration.

Covering an area of 14.763 km2, Serengeti is the largest and also the oldest National Park in Tanzania. It is undoubtedly one of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries in the world. His plains are renowned for their variety of vegetation including plains, lakes, hills and rock outcrops (kopjes) and the extraordinary concentration of animals. The view of the migration of thousands of wildebeest followed by zebras and buffaloes including their predators in search for water and greener pastures is a breathtaking experience. You will follow their tracks during the game drive.

The exact location of your nights will depend on the surrounding animal activity.

Nights at the Center Serengeti Tingitana Tented Camp in Full Board

It is possible to do a hot air balloon flight for an extra $500 per person

At 5.00am the Serengeti Balloon Safaris company will come and collect you at your camp to take you the the departure point at Masai Kopjes. You will meet the chief pilot, you will receive a full briefing and witness the balloon inflating. Take off at sun rise, and let the wind take you... The pilot controls accurately the altitude, to sometimes be close to the treetops, offering you a unique viewpoint and endless photographic opportunities. After landing, a full english breakfast is served with champagne in the wild savannah. You will receive a certificate and will be taken back to Seronera (about 9.30am)

Day 5: SERENGETI - MANYARA

You will leave the Serengeti and head to Manyara, where you will have the opportunity to meet the Masai tribe, and visit their village. This is done in an authentic manner, and in a spirit of mutual respect for the different cultures. You will also be able to enjoy a walking safari, protected by a Masai Warrior, on the shores of the Manyara Lake.

Day 6 : MANYARA - ARUSHA

You will head back to Arusha's Shanga River House for a last lunch, and then be driven to the Kilimanjaro Airport in time to catch your international flight.
