The term Luxury Safari is normally used conjonction with very hight standard lodges and hotels. The prices normally reflect this high standard of service. At Corto, we don't mind telling the truth, and we do not hesitate to tell you if such or such lodge is worth the asking price. Actually, the success of Tanzania as a tourism destination resulted in a price hike sometimes without direct correlation with the level of service; for instance one night at the magnificent Tarangire Treetop used to be an excellent value for money location two or three years ago, but this is no longer the case, even though the location remains just as magical. Same thing for the famous Crater Lodge on the Ngorongoro crater rim, which price has doubled its price in a few years.

For us a luxury safari will mean finding the best compromise between a great hotel and locations that are well placed for the observation of the animals; in fact we can indeed sell wonderful camps or lodges with swimming pool, but we prefer selling those best placed at the right time of the year for the Serengeti's Great Migration.

Of course, we will be listening to your expectations and choices, we will work within your budget to design a program that will mix charm, privacy, comfort - with always as a backdrop the wonderful landscapes of Tanzania.
