Our Trips of a Lifetime
Conditions required for these adventures :
- a group of friends (minimum 8) knowing each other very well, ready to travel in sometimes difficult conditions.
- you have between 2 and 4 weeks available to spend on the ground, depending on the chosen trip. The budget will be decided by the standard of accommodation chosen by the group - it can range from simple camping, to permanent tented camps, or from simple lodges to luxury hotels - and the transportation (mandatory 4X4 vehicle, with either train, boat or plane).
Find the Source of the River Nile - 3 to 4 weeks
Step back in the time of the famous explorers Stanley and Livingstone, who met during their expeditions seeking the source of the Nile, a time that also saw the slave trade caravans who were also bringing the much sought after ivory from the inner lands of Africa. In short, get out of the beaten tracks to discover the Tanganyika Lake, and the Mahale Mountain Reserve and its chimpanzees.
After Mahale and the Katavi Reserve, this huge park, still unknown from the tourist trade, we make way towards the Ruaha and the Selous before reaching the spice Island of Zanzibar.
Tanganyika's Lost Civilizations - 2 to 3 Weeks
This trip will mix discovery of the Tanzanian wildlife, archeological discoveries through the visit of the petroglyphs of Kondoa, before getting to Selous national reserve then discover one of the cradle of the swahili civilization (before Zanzibar), Kilwa island. The same requirements for the precedent trip with a 2 weeks duration.
